The Ashmere Tiny House is an update of our old model, the Stony Ledge (see photos in our Portfolio of Past Projects). The Ashmere has a similar floor plan, but a more beautiful roofline. Please note that due to updates to the design, these renderings are slightly different from how the final house will look.
The Ashmere is 30′ long and within the maximum road-legal height of 13 ½’ and width of 8 ½’.
The Ashmere is filled with light from large windows on both sides and a clerestory window letting light in from above. A glass front door welcomes the visitor into the sitting and eating area. Interior horizontal shiplap makes the house feel cottage-like.
In the eating area, the breakfast bar looks out a picture window. An optional built-in bench has storage underneath. Open floor space next to the bench could house a loveseat, bookshelf, or just space to stretch.
Unlike many tiny houses, the queen size bed is on the first floor. Storage shelves are built-in around and above the bed, and the bed itself has more storage underneath.
A full-size fridge, a sink and upper and lower cabinets round out the kitchen. The L-shaped countertop has a built-in two-burner cooktop: buyers who wish to can upgrade to a propane stove/oven.
The bathroom has a toilet, sink, linen storage, and bathing.
Recessed lighting is throughout the house.
This tiny house is not designed fo water storage tanks: it is meant to be hooked up to RV hookups or directly into fresh water and a septic system or sewer.
