HOW TO TOW YOUR TINY HOUSE
The weight of a tiny house depends heavily on a variety of factors, from size, materials, and design. As a result of this, some of our tiny structures have easier towing capabilities than others. B&B Micro Manufacturing will guide you on how to tow your tiny house (both safely and effectively)!
To understand how a tiny house should be towed, you must first know the term GVWR, which stands for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. The GVWR of the Travel Trailer RV is crucial to sizing up a suitable vehicle to tow your Tiny House. This information is commonly found on the manufacturer labels located inside the tongue of the trailer. The GVWR is the maximum loaded weight of your vehicle determined by the manufacturer. The scale weight of your vehicle can be less than your GVWR.
Your tow vehicle should have ample towing capacity to cover the GVWR of your Tiny House. Some of our products will require special permitting and licensing to move your home to a new location. Please consult with a professional before moving your Tiny Home. B&B highly recommends the use of third-party transport companies to relocate your Tiny House.
FOR EXAMPLE:
B&B PORTABLE LUXURY RESTROOMS
The GVWR of our 22’ Portable Luxury Restroom is 13,340
You will need to ensure that your vehicle can safely tow that GVWR.
Always consult a professional before towing any tiny house. They will be able to ensure you, your home, and those around you will remain as safe as possible. For the most secure and trusted form of transportation for your tiny house, B&B Micro Manufacturing always recommends hiring third-party professionals
